Kauai police say the person, recognized as 50-year-old David Barnes, first arrived at Lihue airport in late December, when he was instructed to quarantine. Officers say Barnes left the airport, and as a substitute of going straight to his designated quarantine location, he apparently stopped at Costco Wholesale to “store.”
The person was arrested and launched after posting $1,000 bail.
Upon his launch, Barnes checked in to the Kauai Inn. Nonetheless, further stories of quarantine violations led to his second arrest on Jan. 5. KPD says the Utah resident was arrested for 3 extra counts of violating the Governor and Mayor’s Emergency Guidelines, and one depend of straightforward trespass.
He’s presently being held on the Kauai Group Correction Heart on $11,000 bail.
