Parkersburg business owner given Distinguished West Virginian Award


PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) –

Thursday afternoon Mary Anne Ketelsen, the proprietor of Mister Bee Potato Chips, was honored by the state of West Virginia with the best honor a civilian can obtain, the Distinguished West Virginian Award.

The award goes to native born West Virginians who accomplish issues that carry distinction to themselves, their neighborhood, and the state as a complete.

Ketelsen has offered jobs to the Mid-Ohio Valley together with her enterprise, in addition to served as a philanthropist, giving support to veterans and legislation enforcement, amongst others.

Ketelsen was stunned by the award, which was offered by a state official and signed by Governor Jim Justice.

A luncheon to honor Ketelsen will likely be scheduled when the COVID-19 menace lessens, and Justice plans to be there to congratulate Ketelsen in particular person.
