NEW YORK (AP) — Charley Pleasure, certainly one of nation music’s first Black famous person whose wealthy baritone on such hits as “Kiss an Angel Good Morning” helped promote thousands and thousands of data and made him the primary Black member of the Nation Music Corridor of Fame, has died. He was 86.
Pleasure died Saturday in Dallas of problems from Covid-19, based on Jeremy Westby of the general public relations agency 2911 Media.
“I’m so heartbroken that certainly one of my dearest and oldest pals, Charley Pleasure, has handed away. It’s even worse to know that he handed away from COVID-19. What a horrible, horrible virus. Charley, we’ll all the time love you,” Dolly Parton tweeted.
Pleasure launched dozens of albums and bought greater than 25 million data throughout a profession that started within the mid-Sixties.
