SOUTH KINGSTOWN — Cecilia Elena Rouse, a member of the College of Rhode Island Board of Trustees, is the presumptive nominee for chair of President-elect Joe Biden’s Council of Financial Advisers.
If confirmed by the U.S. Senate, she would be the first Black American and simply the fourth lady to steer the council within the 74 years of its existence, in accordance with the College of Rhode Island.
As chairwoman, Rouse would play a key position in rebuilding the U.S. financial system. Because the public well being disaster started, Rouse has been a powerful advocate for offering financial reduction to these most affected by the virus.
